Nasce da vecchie viti ad alberello di 60 anni, nel territorio di Agro di Manduria, frutto di una vendemmia leggermente tardiva, matura per nove mesi in piccole botti. Si tratta di un rosso estremamente invitante, un vero estratto di frutto e spezie, dal sorso equilibrato e bilanciato da una ottima freschezza che ne snellisce la beva
